Napoleon called on Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and sought his blessings on the occasion of his birthday on Sunday. A series of events were organized in Chennai on the occasion of his 44th birthday, by his fans association and several welfare measures for poor were carried out.

Speaking on the occasion, Napoleon said, "We were planning to hold a grand fete in Chennai. However rumours of me starting a political party forced me to cancel the celebrations. I am part and parcel of DMK. Kalaignar is my role model. Already several actors have floated their own political parties and started to claim with no previous experience that they would be the next Chief Minister of the State".

Napoleon further added, "Though I am actively involved in politics, I would continue to act in cinema. It takes me closer to my fans. I am currently playing prominent roles in movies including ‘Dasavatharam’, ‘Sandai’ and ‘Ayudham Seivom’".
