'Nannavanu' on April 16

Prajwal Devaraj and Aindrita Ray starring Srinivasa Raju’s second directorial venture in Kannada, ‘Nannavanu’ for producer Thulasi Gopal, is all set to hit the silver screen on 16th of this month all over Karnataka.

Addressing the media on Monday evening at The Bell Hotel in Bangalore director Srinivasa Raju said the story he had written in the engineering days was spruced up in the last seven years and out of 140 scenes he has made, 67 scenes have been shot in 58 days with maestro of music Illayaraja’s scoring for the lyrics of Dr Nagendra Prasad.

The contents are refreshing to even this day and it will be a latest treat, promises Srinivasa Raju. On account of the preoccupation of producer Thulasi Gopal, business in power projects and travel to South Africa and London the film got delayed says intelligent craftsman Srinivasaraju. I thought of making the film in 72 days but finished well in advance and within the budget marked for the film says the confident director.

There are two shades to the film and 45 minutes climax of the top element of this film that is a neat family entertainer, says Srinivasa Raju. The protagonist just after pass of law graduation has some interesting turns in his life. The powerful dialogues by MS Ramesh and re-recording done for the film add value to the film believes the director.

Actor Prajwal doing a different kind of role is very confident that this film ‘Nannavanu’ is the best of his career so far. He has high expectations on his film that in unique in story and extremely good in narration.

Lyricist Dr Nagendra Prasad recalling his association with ‘God of Music’ Illayaraja said the experience always cherishes in his memory. I went to write one song but maestro asked me to write all the six songs as he would the right tuning to his thoughts, said Prasad.
