Arshad Warsi recently caused a stir when he said bad things about Prabhas' work in "Kalki 2898 AD". His comments have generated a lot of criticism; actor Nani is the most recent to reply. Nani did not hold back when speaking at a press conference for his upcoming movie "Saripodhaa Sanivaaram", discounting Arshad's remarks as unworthy of notice.
Nani said the debate has brought Arshad more attention than he has ever had. "This has to be the most publicity he has ever received in his life. You are giving something small undue weight," Nani said.
Sudheer Babu also spoke out on the situation, calling Arshad's lack of professionalism unacceptable. "You are free to critique constructively; but, you should not bad-mouth someone. Prabhas's stature is too important for such remarks from little brains," Sudheer said.
Arshad's appearance on a podcast with Samdish Bhatia, where he expressed dismay in the way Prabhas portrayed "Kalki 2898 AD", comparing him to a "joker," set off the outrage. His comments immediately went viral, infuriating Prabhas's ardent supporters.
"Kalki 2898 AD", directed by Nag Ashwin, was a huge cinema office triumph, grossing ₹1100 crore globally despite criticism. Along with Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in key parts, the movie stars Prabhas as Bhairava, a bounty hunter.
Known for his appearances in "Asur" and "Modern Love Mumbai", Arshad Warsi will next feature with Akshay Kumar "Jolly LLB 3".
