The Government of Andhra Pradesh has today announced the Nandi Awards for the year 2012. Coming off as a huge surprise are Nani and Samantha, the lead pair of 'Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu'. The talented actors have been given away the State Award for Best Actor and Best Actress! This is a brilliant feat by the lead pair of a single film.

The unsung performances for a long time now have finally come to be recognized by the respected members of the Nandi jury. It's a fitting thumbs-up to the subtle performances delivered by the two under the terrific guidance of fine filmmaker Gautham Menon.

Our review of the film had said, "If Samantha's maturity as an actor is obvious, Nani's knack is equally brilliant. He is quintessentially natural and is almost impeccable. The way he sings Priyatama Neevachata Kushalama sets the stage for a performance that deserves a big round of applause. Samantha excels by portraying three different body languages. She shows the trauma of break-up in a mature fashion. If it was AR Rehman's music that was Ye Maya Chesave's raison d' etre, it is the class act of both Samantha and Nani (who is nothing less than a revelation) that keeps some of us glued."
