'Shyam Singha Roy', starring Natura Star Nani in the lead, is directed by Rahul Sankrityan. There are rumours that the film will bypass a theatrical release. A section of social media influencers has started floating the rumour that the period drama has been offered a whopping sum of Rs 40 Cr by Hotstar.

The fact is that 'SSR' is not in talks for any OTT deal. An official source in the know has confirmed that the rumour is baseless. "This is fake news," the source added.

The film stars Sai Pallavi, Krithi Shetty and Madonna Sebastian as the female leads. Rahul Ravindran, Murali Sharma and Abhinav Gomatam are part of the cast. Jishu Sengupta, Leela Samson and others are part of the cast. 'SSR' completed its shoot in July.

What about the release of 'Tuck Jagadish'? Is it releasing directly on OTT as rumoured? Nani, the other day, said that he has left the decision to the producers. As of now, there is no official word on when it will hit OTT. But, going by the buzz, it has skipped the theatres. If everything goes well, the family entertainer will hit Amazon Prime in September.
