Actor Nani, who started his career as an assistant director to ace director Bapu has come a long way thru his small but intriguing career. He tried his hand at Radio Jockeying before turning actor with Ashta Chemma but once the movie hit the screens, it was an upward journey for the actor without any hiccups. He became one of those safely bankable stars in Telugu with hits like 'Ala Modalaindi', 'Pilla Jamindar', Eega and 'Eto Vellipoyindi Manasu' etc under his belt.

News is that Nani is turning a producer after watching the rushes of the film 'D For Dopidi' a Sundeep Kishan and Varun Sandesh starrer, directed by Sitraz Kalla, produced by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, the Telugu duo who made it big in Bollywood with ‘Shor in the city’ and ‘Go Goa gone’. Nani was so floored by the rushes that he offered to join the production as a partner and was readily obliged by the producers.

Raj & DK said ‘We are happy to have Nani on board as a partner. He is also giving a voice over. Lucas from New York is giving the photography and Mahesh Shankar is composing the music. Deva Katta’s role of ACP Krishnama Charya will stand out in the film. We plan to launch the audio on the 27th and release the film in October’
