Speaking at the pre-release event of 'Gang Leader', Natural Star Nani began his speech by speaking about his connection with Vizag. "It was in this city that my career began when an event of 'Ashta Chamma' was held. It has been 11 years. It's now Vizag again for me ahead of the release of 'GL'. I am sure my next 11 years are assured," Nani spoke sentimentally.

He described the producers at Mythri Movie Makers as passionate persons. Nani then said, "Anirudh shook up the world with 'Kolaveri Di'. I always wanted to work with him. 'Jersey' was our first movie and it will always be a special one. And 'GL' happened immediately thereafter. You will enjoy the background score a lot. Priyanka is a mature performer. The comic timing of Lakshmi and Saranya is incredible in the movie."

He described Kartikeya as a very good actor who is also a humble person. "After this movie, people are going to call him Dev. I want to work with him again. The next time around, he will be the hero and I will be his villain," Nani joked.

The film, directed by Vikram K Kumar, will hit the screens on September 13.
