As per a national daily, Nani is playing an assistant director in Virinchi Varma's film. Virinchi is the director of Uyyala Jampala fame.

In this rom-com, Nani will be paired up with Anu Emmanuel (of Mollywood) and Riya Ludhani, a Mumbai-based model. Virinchi could enrich the script only after discussing with Nani, who was the first one to reportedly suggest that he play an assistant director. Needless to say, it's Nani's this identity of the past made him say so. As a creative person himself, you can expect Nani to involve himself with the script. As for Virinchi, he has already written some funny situations.

Meanwhile, Nani is fast wrapping up his current project with Mohankrishna Indraganti. Nani is paired up with Niveda Thomas and Surabhi in this thriller, titled Gentleman. The director-hero duo are teaming up for the first time since Ashta Chamma, which released in 2008.
