There was a time when Natural Star Nani used to be fond of over-the-top acting. Not anymore. 'Jersey' has admittedly taught him what "real acting" is.
Speaking to Film Companion more than a year after 'Jersey' hit the screens, the versatile actor says, "You had to be loud and over the top for an act to be called a great performance. If a guy was playing a loser and sitting silently, it would never be considered a great performance. It’s only after 'Jersey' that I understood what real acting is."
The film, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, has changed the way the 'MCA' and 'Nenu Local' actor looks at movies. "Now that I have tasted a special feeling, I have an inclination only towards 'Jersey' kind of films," he confesses.
The family-sports drama is being remade in Hindi with Shahid Kapoor reprising the 'Yevade Subrahmanyam' star. Master Ronit is reprising himself in this 2021 release.
