Jenda Pai Kapiraju, which stars Nani and Amala Paul, is on the floors. Director Samuthurikani is making the film as a Telugu-Tamil bi-lingual. The Tamil version stars Jayam Ravi as the male lead, while Amala is the heroine.

Nani and Amala Paul are currently shooting for a song, set to tune by GV Prakash. The shooting is on at Chalakudy (Cochin). Producer KS Srinivasan is confident that Nani's characterization will stand out as JPK's major highlight.

There is an episode in the film which requires Nani to be more brawny than a six-packs hero. This has given credence to the talk that Nani is playing an underdog-turned-rebel in the film.

Meanwhile, Nani's film with Krishna Vamsi (referred in the media as Paisaa) is fast nearing completion.
