Nandita Swetha, who had made a promising debut with Attakathi directed by Pa.Ranjith, went on to star opposite prominent rising stars like Siva Karthikeyan in Ethir Neechal, Vijay Sethupathi in Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara, and paired with Thalapathy Vijay in the fantasy entertainer Puli.

Last seen in Tamil in the action-packed Asuravatham, Nandita, who has been looking out for challenging roles will be seen next in Narmada, directed by Geetha Rajput. Narmada is said to have offered a challenging character for the talented performer who plays the mother of a 7 year old in the movie, and the movie will focus on the bonding between a mother and her son.

Bankrolled by GR Movie makers, the movie will have Vijay Vasanth playing the lead role in a never before seen character, besides M.S Bhaskar and Santhosh Prathap and reportedly the team has been planning to rope in a top actor for a cameo. Geetha Rajput, who makes her film debut with Narmada, had earlier made acclaimed short films like Kabali, Ennai Thediya Naan and Mayakkam.
