'Vellore Mavattam' that features Nandha and Poorna in the lead roles is directed by Manoharan of 'Maasilamani' fame and is gearing up for a release.

It is known that Nandha plays a cop in this film, but grapevine now has it that Nandha will not be a usual K-town cop beating up baddies and fighting goons, physically or with punch dialogues. The film will be a realistic one and will make one feel related to it.

It is said that, the hero, Nandha, becomes a police official to fulfill his fathers dreams, only to realize its no joke and gives up. He then meets people similar to him and what happens next as a racy thriller is 'Vellore Mavattam'.
