Nandamuri Taraka Ratna, who breathed his last on Saturday night, was laid to rest on Monday afternoon. Nandamuri Balakrishna and former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu were among those who were present during his final rites.

The final rites were held at Maha Prasthanam in Hyderabad. The departed soul's father, Mohanakrishna, performed the final rites.

Jr NTR, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Vijaya Sai Reddy, Nara Lokesh and others were also present. The 'RRR' actor and 'Bimbisara' actor were seen with Lokesh in a video clip that has surfaced on the Internet. Nandamuri Mokshagna was also present to pay homage to the mortal remains.

Earlier today, Taraka Ratna's parents broke down upon seeing his mortal remains. The mother reportedly wept inconsolably. She was reportedly admitted to a hospital on Sunday after she collapsed upon hearing the news about her son's passing away.

On Sunday, Taraka Ratna's wife Alekhya Reddy for admitted to a hospital for a brief while after she got too weak. The closet family members of the deceased actor have been going through an indescribably agonizing experience for the past three weeks.

Several film personalities and political dignitaries have condoled the demise of Taraka Ratna at the age of 40.
