Nanduri Kalyanram, last seen in the period film 'Devil', is currently immersed in his next project, 'NKR 21', while also overseeing the production of his brother NTR's 'Devara: Part 1'. However, a sudden turn of events has shaken the production of 'NKR 21' as news breaks of a fire engulfing the sets erected for filming crucial CBI investigative scenes.

Directed by Pradeep Chilukuri, who is making his directorial debut, and produced by Ashoka Creations, 'NKR 21' is shaping up to be a high-octane action-packed thriller. The film, following the success of Ala Ela, has spared no expense, with a lavish set reportedly costing Rs. 4 crore erected for filming. Tragically, disaster struck midway through the shooting of an intense action sequence, resulting in a massive fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries among the team.

Set to be an investigative thriller, 'NKR 21' holds pivotal scenes revolving around CBI investigations. It was during the filming of these crucial scenes, scheduled over 10 days, that the fire mishap occurred. With nine days of shooting already completed, the final day was disrupted, leaving the once-grand set reduced to ashes.

Directed by Pradeep Chilukuri, this gripping investigative thriller stars Saiee Manjrekar as the female lead, with yesteryear actress Vijayashanthi playing a significant role. In the upcoming film, Vijayashanti's character is set to be a pillar of strength for her daughter, offering guidance and unwavering support as she navigates challenges and battles against adversity. This portrayal echoes the strong and influential female characters Vijayashanti has embodied throughout her illustrious career, most notably in the film Kartavyam.

Despite not assuming the role of a police officer in this film, Vijayashanti's character is anticipated to be just as compelling, highlighting her fiery spirit and unyielding determination. Her character is expected to transcend the stereotypical cop role, showcasing a depth and complexity that reflects the evolving landscape of women in cinema.

Ajaneesh Lokanath is in charge of the film's music, promising to elevate the tension and drama of the narrative with his compositions.
