'Nanban', the Tamil remake of Bollywood blockbuster '3 Idiots', marks director Shankar's first ever directorial remake venture. The film is taking shape at a fast pace and is gearing up for a Diwali release.

The latest is that some of the first few scenes from the film were canned in an apartment in Chennai, and the scenes are said to be set in Jiiva's house in the film.

The scenes featuring Vijay and Jiiva are wrapped and the post-production work on the film has begun side by side. As earlier reported, Andrea Jeremiah will be dubbing for Ileana D' Cruz.

The film features an ensemble of star cast including Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj, Ileana D’ Cruz, Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suriya. Raghava Lawerence's special appearance will bring out the main twist in the plot.

The director also expressed that Lawrence has a natural flair for comedy and the scenes between him and Ilayathalapathy Vijay will be one of the highlights in the film. So what do you movie buffs feel about this pair? Ready for some rib-tickling comedy?
