Pals Are Well
Monday, December 26, 2011 • Tamil Comments

From 'Gentleman' till 'Enthiran', not even a single song in Shankar's movies failed to strike a chord. Aptly following the popular trend are numbers from 'Nanban'. Harris Jayaraj, who already has experience working with the director in 'Anniyan', has played to the gallery by serving what audience would like.

The album is a mix of various genres as the songs explore the depth of friendship; celebrate the joy of togetherness and happiness of falling in love, besides various other emotions. A close look at the songs from the Vijay-Srikanth-Jiiva starrer.

En Friend Pola Listen here

Krish, Suchith Suresan

Already a hit thanks to the teaser trailer which is extremely popular on the web, 'En Friend Pola...' will remind the listeners their best friends. 'Friendship makes life more meaningful'. Proving this adage true are lines from Vivega. Harris has made this song an ode to the beautiful relationship called friendship, by letting Krish and Suchith Sureasan take over the show.

Heartiley Battery Listen here

Hemachandran, Mukesh

The Tamil version of 'All is well', this one is as energetic and as fresh as the original. Hemachandran and Mukesh chip in with their best, and recreate the magic. No wonder if Vijay fans dance to this song in cinema halls, courtesy Harris's usage of trumpets and fast-beats.

Askku Laska Listen here

Vijay Prakash, Chinmayee, Suvi

While Shankar is popular for 'Petta raap', 'Hairaabba' and 'Ballelakka', Harris too is an expert in using catchy phrases which convey no meaning. Comes 'Askku Laska...', on the lines of the music composer's 'Oh maha zeeya' and 'Randakka randakka...' An imaginative track of Indian and Western music, this romantic song makes us fall in love in the first listening itself.

Endhan Kan Munney Listen here

Aalap Raju

After 'Ennamo edho...' in 'Ko', the trio of Harris Jayaraj - Madhan Karky - Aalap Raju strike gold once again, this time with 'Endhan Kan Munney...' The song makes for a breezy listen, thanks to Harris's interesting composition, Madhan Karky's beautiful lyrics and Aalap Raju's wonderful rendition. A magic before your ears is 'Endhan Kan Munney...'

Irukkaannaa... Listen here

Vijay Prakash, Javed Ali, Sunidhi Chauhan

The presence of Ileana's hip is a debatable topic, so to say. Blending this doubt with the actress's name, 'Irukkaanna...' makes its presence felt in a big way. It's is the one for those who love fast songs. Vijay Prakash, Javed Ali and Sunidhi Chauhan aptly assist Harris in making the song work.

Nalla Nanban Listen here

Ramakrishnan Murthy

Who else than Na Muthukumar can write about relationship, especially after the lyricist's 'Aniladum Mundril'? Well, 'Nalla Nanban...' is an emotional song which talks high about the film's title, that is, 'Nanban'. The usage of traditional Indian instruments makes the song more interesting. Right rendition by Ramakrishnan Murthy, we must say.

'Nanban' music album is ready to mesmerize you...
