Veteran Bollywood actor and one of the most admired artists of Indian Cinema, Nana Patekar will be playing an important role in Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kaala Karikaalan' directed by Pa.Ranjith.

The film's shooting has begun today in Mumbai. The makers have officially announced the star cast members of the film. It has been confirmed that as speculated earlier Huma Qureshi will be playing the female lead while National award winning supporting actor Samuthirakani will be seen in an important supporting role. Anjali Patil is also part of the cast ensemble.

Apart from this, the film's bevy of star cast includes a lot of well known Tamil and Hindi actors. Suganya, Shayaji Shinde, 'Vathikuchi' Dileepan (Director A.R.Murugadoss's younger brother), Ramesh Thilak, Manikandan, Arundathi. Sakshi Aggarwal, Eshwari Rao, Arul Doss, Nithish, Velu, Jeya Perumal, Karuppu Nambiar, Yathin Karya, Pankaj Tripathy, Mahi Mahija, Major Bikramjith are the other cast members according to the official press release from the Wunderbar Films of Dhanush, the producer of this awe inspiring project.

The release also states that the shooting that has begun on May 28th will go on continuously for 40 days.
