Rashmika Mandanna has made a strong statement against the ills of the digital world. Social media anonymity has often been misused by trolls to body-shame female celebs. The ‘Pushpa’ actress has said that she has been at the receiving end of even character-shaming.
“Have I been trolled- yes. Have I been body-shamed- yes. Have I been character shamed- yes. Have I been cyberbullied- yes (sic),” the ‘Bheeshma’ actress began saying.
The actress then added that the Internet is more than mere negativity. At the same time, as a caution, she added, “But the thing is when you see so much negativity you start to believe that there is only negativity.. even though it’s just a small part or a phase.”
Rashmika then opined that it is high time we all start focusing on our digital well-being and start using our phones for bigger and better things. “This tool was meant for creating, connecting, and collaborating,” she added.
Namrata Shirodkar was seen commenting with ‘clapping’ emojis.
