The 2014 Tamil film ‘Yamirukkum Bhayame’ in 2014 November end in Kannada as ‘Namo Boothatma’ is filled with a few surprise elements that is maintained till the last frame.

A dance director in Kannada cinema Murali forgetting his original task has done a precise work for gathering good attention from the audience. The first half is a cool going and second half is what the nail biting starts. Three good songs and performance to meet the mood of the situation is another plus point of this film.

Dance director Murali has taken a remake film for his debut but everything is in right places. There is enough of comedy, horror moments and trio producers Elred Kumar, Shruthi Belliappa and Anasooya Komal Kumar have made the right choice.

The protagonist Karthik (Komal Kumar) knowing that he is the owner of a huge bungalow comes to occupy it. It is maintained by Sharat (Harish Raj) and his sister Shilpa (Gayathri Iyer). Karthik comes to this place with his fiancé (Aishwarya Menon).

Kartik convert the ancient building as ‘Cool Resort’ but everything is not that cool. Firstly it is Sharat who is feared because whatever he says is happening. Soon the presence of devil in the house that is creating horror and strange things shift to an old man – in the meantime a few deaths further create tension to the characters and to the audience.

When a flash back is revealed the young lovers sad end is explained on screen. Karthik is in the mind to vacate this place. He is in for another surprise from Vishwanna (Avinash) and gang. When the signature is made to transfer it to Vishwanna name there is another surprise. What it is? You have to watch it on silver screen.

Komal Kumar has given good timing in comedy and his dialogue delivery is major plus point of the film. Harish Raj is too good. Komal and Harish from ‘Govindayanamaha’ time are clicking in box office.

Aishwarya Menon has support from dubbing artist while Gayathri Iyer has the support of her good physique.

The song of Daler Mehandi ‘Duddu Dudd…..is well captured on screen and there are two more good songs in ‘Namo Boothatma’.

Farhan Roshan has given wonderful background score that is very essential for the film. Cinematography by Bhasker is appropriate. The editing in the second half is what a little tedious to watch.

Have guts to watch this film.

Score – 7/10
