The trailer of Sivakarthikeyan's 'Namma Veetu Pillai' directed by Pandiraj hints that the movie would be total rural emotional mass family entertainer. After a long time the Elder brother and younger sister theme has been taken which has always struck box office gold from 'Pasamalar', to 'Mullum Malaraum' and 'Kizhakku Seemaiyile' and add to that the Pandiraj touch and you have a winner here.

'Namma Veetu Pillai' has strong dialogues such as "People wont accept boys like us when we win once but everytime", " Family is the one thing that will drive you to ecstasy and grief like no other" and "If one is ready to lose for the family can never be defeated outside".

Sivakarthikeyan seems to have a lot of sentimental scenes with Aishwarya Rajesh who plays his sister, Bharathiraja who is apparently the grandfather and balances it with comedy with Soori and romance with Anu Emmanuel. There is also many action scenes making it an out and out family masala entertainer with great technical support from Nirav Shah's camera, D. Imman's music and the high production values of Sun Pictures.
