The sexy Namitha Kapoor, a sought after actress in all South Indian language films has said she wants to appear on the silver screen as action heroine. She was speaking this correspondent at Sambrama College on the sets of her Kannada film ‘Namitha I Love You’.

“I want to try action roles with the director of this film and discussions are already on” she said. Namitha plays a Yoga teacher in the film titled after her name. “I bring in a lot change in the students”, she quipped.

Namitha now looks slim and has cut down a lot of weight. She says she is looking for vast change in her career from glamorous roles to performance oriented roles. I am not accepting films like before. I was doing eight films a year and now it has come to four films a year.

Namitha remembered her college days sitting in the class room of Sambrama College. “I was very rough and tough. I was coming on a bike to the college and bunking classes. I have completed BA Literature. Not studying too much, I have not crossed over 62 percent in my subjects” she added.

In the coming years Namitha wants to set up a Salsa type of dance school. She is already a Bharatanatyam exponent.
