Namitha, the glam-doll of Kollywood, is acting in an English flick titled Maya. The shooting for the movie began a few days ago and a major portion of the movie was shot in Ooty and Karaikudi.

Now the producers are planning to shoot the rest of the movie in Los Angeles.

Post Pachakudhirai, this glamour actress has made rapid strides and has signed three films in Tamil besides Maya.

Her Nee Venumda Chellam opposite Ramesh is ready for release.

The interesting feature of Maya is that the movie has been shot in live sound (the dialogues are recorded at the sets itself). Remember Kamal Haasan used the same technique for his movies Hey Ram and Virumandi.

Namitha is in all cheer about Maya. She hopes that the movie would prove her critics wrong for she has plump role to perform and not just involve in some skin show.

According to producer Ramesh of Global One Studio, who handles the studio's India operations, said, 'basically the character is of a traditional looking Malayali girl, who comes from a highly cultured family. Namitha fit the bill perfectly.'
