From an obese girl, Namitha turns a Fitness ambassador

A few days back the new photos of actress Namitha were released and everyone who looked at them were in for a sweet surprise as the bubbly actress had regained her glamourous looks again.

Namitha who entered the film industry in early 2000s acted with almost all leading stars like Vijayakanth, Sathyaraj, Sarathkumar, Ajith and Vijay. After being the most preferred glam girl for a few years she started losing prominence as she became over weight. She could not get any acting offers and had to stay at home for the past few years.

Now the actress has reduced 20 kilograms of her body weight. The transformation was however not as easy as the outsiders look it. Namitha says that she had to endure severe mental agony as most of her attempts to getting slimmer failed miserably.

In a press meet the ‘Engal Anna’ actress said "As my bodyweight kept increasing I started losing acting offers. I have no words to explain how painful it was. I tried various workouts, diets and even treatment to reduce weight but none of them were useful. When it was a life or death moment for me Producer Suresh Kamatchi introduced a fitness center. I approached them and initially I was not having hope on them. Very soon I could lose one and a half kgs. As I strictly followed their instructions on workouts, diet and treatment I could reduce 20 kgs in three months. Now I have become their brand ambassador."

Namitha hoped that she will soon get more acting offers and wishes to act as a heroine with scope for action sequences. She has currently signed up for an untitled women-centric Tamil film.
