Actor Srikanth's upcoming film Nambiar recently went in for censor certification and the board has awarded a U/A certificate for this film directed by debutant Ganeshaa, since the film included some adult content.

Only U rated films can avail the entertainment tax exemption offered by Tamilnadu Government. it is to be seen whether the content will be modified or the makers will send the film to the revising committee.

Nambiar is very crucial for its lead actor Srikanth who acquired good name with his role of a supporting actor in Vijay starrer Shankar directed film Nanban and as the the hero with scope for comedy in the film Pagan. Sunaina is pairing up with him for the first time and the inclusion of comedian Santhanam will be the main USP of the film.

Recently the trailer of the film was released and appreciated by the fans. From the trailer, it was understandable that the film is about a protagonist whose negative thoughts are personified as ‘Nambiar’ and that is the role played by Santhanam.
