Nakkileesu Golusu becomes a rage and how!

Some folk songs become a part of pop culture. In the early 2000s, the song 'Gujuvaka Pilla' from 'Nuvvu Nenu' had that rare distinction of becoming a popular hit even among non-Telugu speakers. Dhanush-Anirudh's 'Why This Kolaveri Di' pulled off a similar feat years ago.

After the release of 'Palasa 1978' in March, the Raghu Kunche-composed 'Nakkileesu Golusu' has become quite a big favourite among Netizens. Before TikTok was banned, an entertainer by name Durga Rao danced for a number of variations of the folk song. The Uttarandhra-origin folk song has been quite a favoured one by participants of dance shows on TV.

From mash-up videos to TikTok videos, 'Nakkileesu Golusu' has been taken a lot of forms. Sharing a mash-up video of Pawan Kalyan's item numbers from films like 'Gudumba Shankar', Raghu Kunche recently wrote on Instagram that he had almost got an opportunity to compose for a Power Star film in the past before it slipped from his hands due to some sycophants. "Should I get a chance to work on his project again, it will be terrific," the music director wrote.
