Working with big stars involves lots of planning and might even prove to be demanding, especially for the director. Here's Nagesh Kukunoor, for instance, who had his share of problems when he worked with biggies in his earlier ventures.

The director who is best known for movies like 'Hyderabad Blues', 'Iqbal' and 'Dor', is said to be uncomfortable with unnecessary hype and attention; instead prefers to work in peace and privacy. Nagesh had trouble while shooting '8x10 Tasveer' and 'Aashayein' since it involved noted names like Akshay Kumar and John Abraham respectively.

Revealed the filmmaker, "I have always stayed away from attention while making film. But that had got disrupted during my last few films as I was working with big stars like Akshay Kumar and John Abraham, who created media attention."

As a result Nagesh has now resorted to follow his heart and do things the way he is satisfied. "I decided to go back to my roots and do a film the way I used to," he stated. The director-actor is coming up with a movie, a love story - a genre that he has attempted for the first time.

The film titled 'Mod' stars Ayesha Takia and Rannvijay Singh. Interestingly the director decided to go ahead and shoot it completely before even letting people know what he is up to!

Talking about the film Nagesh, candidly says, "I never wanted to do love stories as I always believed there was nothing really new to say in the space considering we see so many love stories being made every year. But when I saw a Taiwanese film Keeping Watch at AFFF, where I was a jury, I was amazed. I wanted to take the same premise and set it in India. So I went ahead and bought the rights. I still maintain that every story has been told but it is the way a story is told that matters."

Once done with the script the director says he decided to shoot the film away from all attention in Ooty. The director claims that the audiences will see the beauty of Ooty like they have never seen before.

Now that he has tried his best to keep secrecy on his new project while shooting, Nagesh hopes people to like this one.

'Mod' been produced by Shreya Entertainment and is slated to release in September, 2011
