Nagarjuna thrilled with his son Naga Chaitanya's Dhootha

Naga Chaitanya marked his entry into the world of OTT with Dhootha, a supernatural thriller that started streaming on Amazon Prime from December 1. Directed by Vikram Kumar, the eight-episode web series allowed Naga Chaitanya to venture into a new genre, and his stellar performance resonated with audiences, winning their hearts.
In the latest update, it has been revealed that Naga Chaitanya's father, the iconic Nagarjuna, not only watched Dhootha but thoroughly enjoyed it. Nagarjuna took to social media to express his feelings, praising Naga Chaitanya's portrayal. He shared, Watching @chay_akkineni in #Dhootha last night!! Very happy and surprised to watch him completely out of his comfort zone and acing it. Very captivating and intriguing this #Dhootha. Congratulations to the team!
Ecstatic about his father's response, Naga Chaitanya expressed his gratitude, saying, Thank you Naana! Glad you're enjoying it :). The ensemble cast, including Parvathy Thiruvothu, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Prachi Desai, Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam, Pasupathy, Rohini, Ravindra Vijay, Tanikella Bharani, Raja Goutham, Anish Kuruvilla, Jayaprakash, played pivotal roles in bringing the story to life.
Director Vikram Kumar, during the promotional activities for Dhootha, shared insights into Naga Chaitanya's involvement. He mentioned, Chay is a very underrated actor and gave a splendid performance as a journalist with grey shades. His dad, Nagarjuna loved his performance and praised me for showcasing him in such a new dimension.
Interestingly, Vikram Kumar revealed that Naga Chaitanya initially turned down the project when it was first pitched to him. He added, I had narrated a different story to him during the making of Manam, but he was not keen to do a horror thriller. However, the moment I narrated the story of Dhootha, Chay loved his role and okayed the project right away.
Dhootha intricately weaves the tale of a journalist navigating through various challenges in life, all connected through a newspaper that delivers cryptic messages about ongoing crimes.
