Nagarjuna on his Hindi film, 'DevaDas', 'RX100', controversial ad

Nagarjuna has said that he hasn't gone back to Bollywood.  People are asking me what made me go back to Bollywood. I haven't.  They have come back to me.  It's my choice that I didn't go to Bollywood many years ago even when Ram Gopal Varma insisted that I should move there.  I told him I can't leave the Telugu audience.  This is my home.  Why should I go somewhere and start the rat race all over again? he began saying.

The Akkineni star then said, I have always done other languages whenever the right opportunities came to me.  I have done 'Tozha' ('Oopiri') recently.  And I will make a new Tamil movie announcement in a week's time.

He opened up on 'Brahmastra', the Hindi film which he is doing.  Ayan Mukerji (director) and Karan Johar (producer) came to me and said that they would be honoured if I do the role.  I told them I don't look for quantity.  Rather, I look for quality.  It doesn't matter for how much time I am there on the screen.  I asked them to narrate the film visually by making a 3D version.  Three months later, they came to me with a 15-minute video.  I have already shot for the movie in London for a week.  I will shoot in Mumbai for another two weeks.  The film has a dream cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.  They gave me a dream role, Nag said.

About 'DevaDas', Nag noted, The entire shoot is almost done but for 10 days.  Just because the title is such, it doesn't mean the film should have a sad ending.  It's a fun film, much like a Rajkumar Hirani entertainer.  Nani is a very talented actor.  His dialogue delivery is pure.  If the film becomes a hit, we might do a sequel.

I recently watched the last two reels of 'RX100'.  It was so good, be it the RR, the performances, etc.  Different kinds of comments have been heard about the movie.  But it's an honest movie.  There are films which are made for families.  Then there are films like 'RX100', Nag observed.

About the controversial Kalyan Jewellers ad which was withdrawn recently, the actor said that it's good that it has been pulled out.  The company has asked me to say that we are very sorry to have done the ad and unwittingly offended the bankers.  I had insisted on doing the ad after watching Amitabh Bachchan garu's Hindi ad, he revealed.
