Akkineni Nagarjuna, along with Sai Korrapati, is learnt to have acquired the theatrical rights for Krishna area. The grapevine has it that he has shelled out a whopping Rs. 8 cr to lay his hands on the rights. The previous edition's rights for the same area fetched something like Rs. 6.80 cr.

The hike in the rate is nothing surprising, given the humongous popularity that brand 'Baahubali' enjoys.

Slated to be released in the second half of April next, the Rajamouli magnum opus has started filling its coffers. Nag, meanwhile, awaits the release of 'Nirmala Convent', a rom-com that could well be another 'Uyyala Jampala' for his home banner.
