Remember Isha Koppikar, who was seen in Nagarjuna's 'Chandralekha' way back in 1998? She was seen in a guest role in Nikhil Siddhartha's 'Keshava' recently. The Bollywood actress, who has done many south Indian movies, has joined the BJP. Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari induced her on Sunday.
Known as the 'Khallas Girl' (after the sensational number from Ram Gopal Varma's 'Company' in 2002), Isha is one more actor-turned-BJPian after the likes of Hema Malini, Vinod Khanna, Dharmendra and, most recently, Moushumi Chatterjee. "She will ensure the welfare of the commuters in the Mumbai city in her role as the Working President of BJP Women Transport Wing," the party said.
The 43-year-old has been married to Timmy Narang since 2009.
