Earlier today, Megastar Chiranjeevi went to Vijayawada to call on Andhra Pradesh CM Jaganmohan Reddy. The meeting was meant to pitch to the CM the Telugu film industry's concerns regarding issues related to ticket pricing and other aspects.

Akkineni Nagarjuna, in an interview meant to talk about 'Bangarraju', today said that he knew about the meeting a week ago. "Chiranjeevi garu told me about the appointment. He is calling on the CM to represent the interests of the film industry. It's for everyone's benefit. I have been busy with promoting my film and thus couldn't be involved in all this," Nag said.
He added that 'Bangarraju' has not received any special favours from the government. There are murmurs that the AP government has tried to create a favourable situation for the Sankranthi release because Nag is perceived to be pro-YCP. Nag ruled out the angle.
'Bangarraju', meanwhile, is hitting the screens on January 14 (Friday). Co-starring Naga Chaitanya as Nag's grandson, the film has Krithi Shetty and Ramya Krishna in key roles. The film is a fantasy-comedy directed by 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' fame Kalyan Krishna.
