Speaking at the audio release function of 'Thozha' aka 'Oopiri', Nagarjuna said that he had found a brother in Karthi while shooting for the film. Karthi stood up and gave an ovation. He was later invited on to the dias by Nag.

Nag further said, "All that we need is companionship. Howmuchever fortune we may have, what is the use of all that if one has no 'thodu' (Friend)? The film is about that. Karthi is that 'thodu' in my film. I won't say things like Karth is a fantastic actor and all. He is a good friend in this film. This film will be a big hit, I know. But more than that, I have found a brother, a friend. In Tamil Nadu, I was received very well when I went to release the audio there. In the same way, we should embrace Karthi garu."

Further, Nag said, "I and Prakash Raj are friends in this film. We do a lot of comedy. I have a small regret that Tamannah is not my heroine. I felt angry when Karthi and Tamannah were romancing and I had to watch them sitting on a wheelchair. This film will give me fame as much as an 'Annamayya' did."
