'Nagaram' has come to be critically appreciated both in Telugu and Tamil ('Maanagaram'). A success meet was held, during which director Lokesh Kanagaraj said that he had never expected such an overwhelming success. "I have entered the film industry with a passion for cinema. I was an independent filmmaker previously. This hit has only increased my responsibility," he said.
Sri, who has a key role in the movie, expressed his happiness over more number of theatres getting added.
Sundeep Kishan said, "I couldn't take part in the promotions as I have been busy with the shoot of 'Nakshatram'. I thank the producers. This film took 2 years of tireless efforts to make. After watching the movie, Tamil movie critics praised the film a lot. Reading their reviews, I literally cried for 20 minutes. It's because it has been two years since I had had a hit. I thank director Lokesh for undoing all that. The Telugu audience have once again proved that they would warm up to a film regardless of nativity (if it's a good product)."
