Nagaram, which opened in theatres, last week, tells the tale of a village which has to suffer from the waste dumped by a nearby city.

“This film has been made after a lot of research because it’s a highly topical and relevant issue”, director M A Nishad says.

The films features 33 Malayalam film stars, including Kalabhavan Mani, Seema, Gopika, Telugu actress Laxmi Sharma, Jagathy, Jagadish and thespian actor Thilakan.

“Even though I play the role of a judge and appear only in a few scenes, I am really happy that I was able to be a part of a film which addresses a burning social issue. When I saw the film I am really pleased that it has been told as a story”, said Thilakan.
