Thalapathy Vijay's highly-anticipated film, 'LEO,' was eagerly brought to the Telugu audience by Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments, with an initial release date set for October 19, 2023. However, just before the film's release, an unexpected hurdle emerged when the court temporarily postponed the release of the Telugu version until October 20, 2023.Naga Vamsi, both the producer and distributor of the Telugu version, expressed his lack of awareness regarding the legal dispute, which came to his attention through the media.

The dispute arose from an association in Vijaywada registering the title 'LEO,' which carried legal implications. Nonetheless, Vamsi clarified that their film, 'Leo,' had already received censor board clearance, alleviating concerns about legal obstacles. He assured that they would resolve this matter outside of the courtroom and ensure that no one suffered financial losses. Their goal remained to bring the LEO Telugu Version back on track for its original release date, October 19th.Despite these challenges, Naga Vamsi highlighted robust advance bookings in the Telugu states and stressed that he had provided the film to distributors at the same price at which he acquired it. He also mentioned the participation of director Lokesh Kanagaraj and music composer Anirudh in promotional activities, while Vijay's involvement remained uncertain.

However, Vamsi sparked controversy by suggesting that Balakrishna's 'Bhagavanth Kesari' would secure more theaters and early morning shows in the two Telugu states, which irked Vijay's fans. Even with the title dispute causing a delay in the Telugu release, he confidently asserted that 'LEO' would feature early morning shows at 7 AM on October 19th, preceding Bhagavanth Kesari.'Vamsi further projected 'Bhagavanth Kesari' as a potential blockbuster and hinted at a future collaboration with Balakrishna, intensifying fan rivalries. His comments have since gone viral, triggering discussions about his perceived arrogance and ignorance.
