Naga Shaurya turns Ekalavya for Lakshya

Naga Shaurya has teamed up with Dheerendra Santhossh Jagarlapudi for a sports drama titled Lakshya. Touted to be India's first film based on archery, the film showcases Shaurya as an archer, who overcomes all the obstacles to succeed in his favourite sport.
Incidentally, a story claiming to be of Lakshya has been doing the rounds on social media. Buzz is that the film tells the story of a gifted archer who fights against all odds and takes the big swing to shine in the sport. Insiders say Naga Shaurya's character in the film, Pardhu, has been fashioned after Ekalavya, the young prince of the Nishadha, who cut his thumb and offered to his Guru Dronacharya, known for his illustrious teaching skills related to warfare.
Naga Shaurya, reportedly, underwent a massive physical transformation and attained a chiselled body to ace the role of an archer. The first look poster of the film presenting Shaurya flaunting his eight-pack abs has gone viral on the internet. Ketika Sharma, who awaits the release of Romantic, has been signed on to play the female lead in this film.
Lakshya is being bankrolled by ace producer Sharrath Marar in association with Narayan Das K Narang and Puskur Ram M Rao under Northstar Entertainment and Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP. The film is slated for release in the second half of 2021.
