Telugu star Naga Chaitanya is going to make his Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan's highly anticipated film 'Lal Singh Chadda'. In this remake of Tom Hanks' classic 'Forrest Gump', Naga is probably going to play the character inspired by Bubba Blue from the original. During a recent interaction with the news outlet Pinkvilla, the actor spoke about his experience of working on this mammoth project.
He said, "I'm very excited. I can't wait for you guys to catch it in the theatre. Whatever we've shot has come out so well. I'm really excited about it. The team is really excited about it. So, can't wait for you all to see it.” 'Forrest Gump' followed the key events in America's history and pop culture from 50s to 90s and Naga Chaitanya is intrigued by how makers of 'Lal Singh Chadda' have adapted those events to the Indian context.
He said, "The way they have adapted it to our Indian culture and our Indian sensibilities is what intrigued me the most when I heard the script. They've covered some really important events down our timeline." Initially, Chaitanya's role was given to Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi. However, he had to leave the project and Naga ended up replacing him.
