Actor and Jana Sena State General Secretary Nagababu is reportedly set to join the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet. The official confirmation has been made but there is no clarity on which portfolio will he be given.
While earlier speculation suggested that Nagababu might be nominated for one of the three vacant Rajya Sabha seats, those positions were filled by other candidates. As a result, political circles are now abuzz with talk of him receiving a ministerial berth.
The AP Cabinet currently has 24 ministers, with a maximum capacity of 25 based on the number of MLAs in the state. With one ministerial seat still open, sources indicate that it has been reserved for Nagababu. His appointment would align with the Jana Sena Party's growing influence within the state government.
Already, Pawan Kalyan is the deputy chief minister while two other MLAs Kandula Durgesh and Nadenla Manohar also find themselves in the cabinet.
Nagababu's induction into the cabinet would further strengthen Jana Sena's representation and political standing in the AP government. Although there is criticism on the same, the appointment is confirmed.
