Malayalam blockbuster hit Premam is being remade in Telugu as Majnu with Naga Chaitanya playing the titular role. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film is expected to hit the floors later this year soon after Naga Chaitanya completes working for Sahasam Swasaga Saagipo.

The pre-production is currently in full swing and Chandoo is busy making appropriate changes to the script to suit the sensibilities of the native audience. Buzz is that Chaitanya's dad Nagarjuna and uncle Venkatesh are likely to share screen space for the first time in this remake. Sources say it was Naga Chaitanya who was instrumental in bringing the two ageing superstars in this film.

Venkatesh and Nagarjuna were supposed to work for the Telugu remake of Mani Ratnam's Tamil hit Agni Natchathiram in late 80s but that never materialised owing to the pressure from their fans. It would be a delight for their fans to see Nag, Chai and Venky together in a single frame on the big screen, for the first time!
