Nag sir will inspire other actors: Tamannah [Interview]

Seen in the role of a warrior in Baahubali, Tamannah will be seen in a contrasting role in Oopiri. Days ahead of the human drama's release, Tamannah fields questions about her character, how it was working with Nag and Karthi, similarities between Nag and Chai, and more.
How was it playing a personal assistant to a rich man in Oopiri?
My character's name is Keerthi. I am the bridge for the bromance between Nag sir and Karthi. I am straightforward and well-dressed for the role. Vamshi Paidipally told me that if my costume is perfect, half the battle is won. I wear tight-fitting dresses. So tight that I was gasping for 'oopiri' at times. (Laughs).
You have dubbed for the first time in a Telugu film. Is there any reason why you did that for this film?
Everything about Oopiri is very organic. I told Vamshi that I will do the dubbing myself. I felt that this is the opportune time to dub. Also, I have enough experience now so that I can do the dubbing without looking out of place.
Nagarjuna plays a quadriplegic in Oopiri. How was it working with him?
Nag sir's role is quite challenging. Two assistants were assigned the job of observing his movements. He has to emote only with his face. It's very tough to play a role where the body doesn't function from the neck down. I think after this film, many actors will be inspired by Nag sir to take up challenging roles.
Nag has said that he is jealous of Karthi for not getting to dance with you. Your comments.
(Laughs). We will dance together in Oopiri-2. Jokes apart, there won't be any Oopiri-2.
You have been in the industry more about a decade. Do you have any regrets?
(Smiles) Not much, but I feel I should have done Mr. Perfect. I had the offer in my hands, but I had to let it go because I couldn't accmmodate the dates. When I watched the film, it became one of my favourite films.
What is your role in Baahubali-The Conclusion?
The length of my role is less in this edition. I haven't shot for the film as yet. I don't know as to where and when I am going to shoot for the film. Even though my role is not big, I am glad and excited to be a part of such a magnum opus.
You have done an item song in Alludu Seenu and Speedunnodu. So, when are you doing one again?
I don't wait for an item song. If something exciting is offered, I do it. That's all.
Do you think star heroes like NTR and Allu Arjun, too, should do item songs in others' films?
Yes. That would be a good idea.
Having worked with both Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya, what differences and similarities do you find in their personalities?
I have worked with Nag sir and Chaitanya in different films, not in one film. (Laughs). I think I find Nag sir in Chaitanya. Nag sir's upbringing shows itself. Chaitanya is, like Nag sir, dignified, chivalrous, and very patient.
We heard that you are doing a film with Vishal.
Even I heard it. (Smiles). See, if I am doing a film, I let the world know about it. I usually post it on my Twitter or let a publication I trust know. If I am not saying it, I am not in it.
