King Akkineni Nagarjuna and Kollywood actor Karthi are sharing the screen space for the first time in a Telugu-Tamil bilingual. Titled Oopiri - Celebration of life, the film is a remake of French film The Intouchables. Vamsi Paidipally of Yevadu fame is the director. This is Karthi's first straight film in Telugu. The makers have made a lot of changes to the original to suit the sensibilities of the native audience. The film has wrapped up the shooting in exotic locales of Paris, Lyon and Belgrade. The post production formalities are in full sing and producer Prasad V Potluri is planning to release the film on February 5.

Tamannah Bhatia is playing the leading lady, while Adivi Sesh and Anushka Shetty are playing crucial cameos. Nagarjuna will be seen as a paraplegic millionaire who was confined to a wheel chair post a traumatic mishap. Karthi is playing Nagarjuna's assistant, while Tamanna is his secretary. Gopi Sunder is scoring the music. Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Gabriella Demetriades and Ali also play pivotal roles.
