Veerabhadram Chowdary is on a hat trick following his twin successes with his first two films. While he is facing the litmus test in his third film, it shows some interesting strategy in his approach when observed in a bird’s eye view. His first venture ‘Aha Naa Pellanta’ has a comedy hero Allari Naresh and the second ‘Poola Rangadu’ has comedy hero with a mass image Sunil. The third has a classy mass hero Nagarjuna and the director is attempting to give him an out and out mass image with the film, but the tools he’d arranged are tested and proven viz., comedy.

BHAI is alls et to hit the screens across the world on the 25th October, but the Diwali mood would have already set in by the time. The director has arranged for a pressmeet to announce the date and have a chat with the media, a customary promotional act and answered the unanswered questions before. While thru the conversation he was all praise and thanks to his producer and hero Nagarjuna, he also talked about the music, dialogues and look and feel of the film on the whole.

Excerpts of the conversation…

Thank The Media...

At the outset, I thank the media for helping me gain my footing in the industry, reach out to my audience and promoting my previous two films and now my third and biggest in my career ‘BHAI’ to the maximum extent possible. Without you, I wouldn’t be here.

25th October, Fingers Crossed...

BHAI has come out well. I am more confident about the product after watching the first copy. The movie is releasing worldwide on the 25th October. An action entertainer, I am sure, this will entertain all sections of crowds.

DSP-Nag Magic Recreated...

When I thought about music, I thought about DSP with all the musical hits he’s given to Nagarjuna. And he responded with brilliant sound tracks. Songs are heard everywhere on the streets, especially the title song has had unprecedented number of ringtone downloads. I believe that audio success is the biggest first step for the movie’s performance and I thank Devi once again for such great music.

Annapurna, Director's Dream

I thank Nagarjuna for not just acting but also producing the film himself coz it’s a director’s dream to work for Annapurna studios and I feel fortunate to have landed here at such an early stage of my career.

Character Inspired Nag

I narrated the story to Nag while he was doing ‘Shirdi Sai Baba’ and he liked the story narrative mainly coz of the characterization and the traits like ‘BHAI in Day and Play Boy during Night’, one liners, getups etc. So much so that he came forward to actually produce it.

Best Line-up Of One Liners

This film has the best line up of one liners in recent times and especially for Nagarjuna. In his journey of over two and half decades, Nag was presented in several different shades by different directors. When I looked at how I can coin his character, that’s how these dialogues have evolved and I thank my young team of writers for supporting me.

I Was A Nervous Starter

Though I worked with successful young heroes Naresh and Sunil before, working with Nag is a quite exciting feeling. I was not on the ground for 2-3 days. But as I started working with him, I came to understand how and why he is the best hero as for young and relatively inexperienced directors. I learnt a lot observing him while during production and I thank him for the same.

Nag Slid Into The Skin

Nag’s character has three shades and dimensions with each having an identity. Whenever Nag spoke about the characters, I saw him so well connected to them and that’s quite evident in the way even audience are responding to the trailers, posters, Facebook and Twitter pages etc saying Nag looks gorgeous and that gives me the kick as a director. It also goes to lay the required foundation for the success.

Girls Are Romantic

All the girls including Richa, Kamna and Hamsa have done splendid work and the glamour quotient will add to the film.

Shiva Is The Biggest Trendsetter Till Date

The dialogue that talks about setting trends is not to create a controversy but to reestablish the fact that ‘Shiva’ is the biggest trendsetter in Telugu film history. It’s an undisputed fact. So, I don’t think there is any room for controversy here. I don’t do films to hurt anyone for cheap sensation.

Not If Nag Hasn't Produced It

I wish to reiterate that the film has come out so well coz Nag is the producer. I wanted to do some scenes in the old city but shooting on roads for so many days including action sequences with a star like Nag would have been dangerous. He immediately told me to erect a set and asked me not to worry about the costs. You will see the quality in the output yourself.

He Must Have Liked My Commitment

I think my commitment, not taking my job easy are the qualities Nag would have liked in me. I was nervous on the first day of shoot in Bangkok but prepared well. So, I was motivating myself saying that this is the biggest opportunity and I have to make the most out of it. He observed that and when after the schedule he watched the rushes, he grew more confident. I am sure I could keep the confidence intact.

This Film Has Characters

This film has 80 artists and everyone has a role that has a meaning and cause for the story. Nag has three different characterizations, Brahmanandam, MS Narayana… everyone has a reason to be there on screen.

Go Watch It On 25th October

So, we thought the timing is also perfect for the release and going ahead on the 25th. Wish you all watch it on the nearest screen and enjoy it as well.
