Nafisa Ali as Mammootty's mother

Mammootty seems like looking for big names to play his mom on screen. In the last film Pothenvava, it was pop-queen Usha Uthup who had played Mammootty's mother. Remember Sharada playing the role in Raapakal and in Taskarveeran it was Sheela.
Now the big coup is Nafisa Ali, the former Miss India, national swimming champion, model, actress and the former chair person of Children's film society who is going to play the on screen mother to Mammootty. The film in which the two celebs come together is Amal NeeradÂs Big B which is all set to start today at Kochi. Nafisa Ali will play the character of Mary , who has three sons in Mammootty's Big B.
Nafisa's debuted into acting with Shyam Benegal's Junoon and later she played wife to Amitabh Bachchan in the 1998 film Major Saab. The actress has done only half a dozen films in her career.
