After coming up with  some silly movies in the name of entertainment , that but  was translated into hits,  Dileep  is back with a real mass masala entertainer in 'Nadodi Mannan'. The movie which works largely due to the screen presence of its lead star and the timing of the comedy stars in the lead is a well packed film replete with songs, comedy, thrills and action. The highlights of the movie includes exceptional technical standards and expertise of the director Viji Tampy, who manages to make an average screenplay into an interesting film.

The movie has Dileep as Padmanabhan, the son of an ideologist who hails from Palakkad. He is currently into organizing people for  processions of various political parties and events. Padmanabhan is earning good in this profession, but he accidentally becomes a talk of the town after being hit by a bomb while leading a procession in the capital city with the city Mayor. Some interesting events follows which make him a dear person to the Raja of Thiruvinthancode, and the bitter enemy of the land mafia lead by Prakasham(sayaji Shinde), which finally results in him  becoming the mayor of the city. Also packed into the narratives are his love story with Meera (Ananya), a bold young girl who is facing problems from the land mafia. In the fray of events are a doctor from the royal family called Aathira (Archana Kavi) and a journalist named Rima (Mythily) who regularly becomes the saviours of the lead man

The movie has a racy and entertaining first half packed with wits and twists. Though the later half is predictable and the graphics at times average, the inviting climax and pucca graphics of the controlled demolitions makes the movie work big time. The movie which extends to around 2 hours and 40 minutes, packs some poor sequences which could have done away with.

The highlight of the movie is that it has plenty of slapstick comedy worked out finely by the Janapriyanayakan. With his  trademark mannerisms and plenty of jokes, he hooks the audiences with the right masala quotient though believability takes the back seat at times.Bollywood actor Sayaji Shinde, is also excellent as the antagonist. Ananya performs well while Archana Kavi, Mydhili and Nedumudi Venu play to their roles.

Vidhya Sagar has come up with some foot tapping numbers which are choreographed with plenty of dancers, filling the screen. The camera by Sanjeev Shankar is also good, while Sreenivas in editing has packed with befitting graphics, especially the one in the climax.

Nadodi Mannan can be an interesting prescription for the die-hard fans of the star. It can also work well as a family movie , with appealing wits and sequences.
