Actor Radharavi had made derogatory remarks against Nayanthara and womenfolk in general, and this was met with a negative response from all corners. with angry reaction from film fraternity. Earlier today, following comments from Vignesh Shivn, Nadigar Sangam secretary Vishal had tweeted condemning Radharavi, and now an official press release condemning the actor has been released.

The press release was addressed to Radharavi, and read "Your double entendres degrading women in the audio launch of Kolaiyuthir Kaalam was saddening, an d the South Indian artists association strongly condemns this. Not just this stage, but even in online interviews and general meetings you have developed the habit of degrading women, and this has spread across the world via media. Why didn't you realize that such talks will affect the whole industry and the women of the industry, humiliating them and belittling them?".

The press release further mentioned "Following your father, you've had 50 years of rich experience in films, and if you use your experience in a good way, it will be inspiring the younger generation as well. But why didn't you realize that the usage of such words and statements not just spoils your reputation, but also damages the respect people have on film industry? Whatever said and done, we believe you will realize and stop such obscene, crass talks. If you continue to indulge in such acts, a decision will be made by the South Indian Artists association on non-cooperation in the professional front".
