The office-bearers of the Nadigar Sangam has fixed the date and venue for the much anticipated Star Cricket tournament which will be conducted to raise funds for the new building for the Sangam

The matches will be conducted in M.A.Chidambaram Cricket Stadium in Chennai on April 17, 2016. A team of Nadigar Sangam members headed by the President Nasser met the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association's President N.Srinivasan and got his consent to conduct the Star cricket matches in the stadium.

A group of executive members of the Sangam have met the City Police Commissioner D.K.Rajendran and sought police protection for the cricket tournament as all the leading heroes and other actors are expected to participate in the tournament.

Reportedly invitations have been sent to Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganyagan Kamal Haasan and the two thespians are expected to make their presence felt
