Nadigar Sangam Treasurer Karthi said in a press conference on Saturday, that the former President R.Saratrhkumar is yet to submit the books of accounts for the past two years as he promised after losing the elections. Karthi also stated that action will be initiated against him if he failed to submit the accounts within January 15, 2016.
The Nadigar Sangam General Secretary Vishal and President Nasser stated that show cause notice will be sent to actress Radhika for making allegations that Nadigar Sangam is not supporting Silambarasan in the Beep song controversy as the latter contested against them in the election.
Nasser and Vishal dispelled the notion that Nadigar Sangam is inactive in the Beep song controversy. Nasser clarified that they have been in talks with Simbu and his family to persuade the young actor to apologise for hurting the sentiments of many with the Beep song. They also made clear that the Nadigar Sangam can support Simbu only if he apologises.
However, Simbu has apparently refused to apologise and has decided to face the issue in Court. He will have to appear in the Court for the next hearing on his bail plea application on January 2, 2016.
Nasser said that Simbu was like a son to him and a brother to Vishal and there is not question of leaving him in the lurch just because he contested against them.
The veteran actor also reacted to Radhika's charge that the Nadigar Sangam remained silent when Kamal Haasan was lambasted by the Tamil Nadu Finance Minister for his allaged comments about the governance in the state. Nasser said that the Nadigar Sangam did not interfere as preferred Kamal Haasan himself..
But Radhika seems to be far from convinced by these clarifications, In her latest tweet, she charged Nadigar Sangam of "immaturity" for going to press for replying to even such queries by other actors.
