The South Indian Artists Association has praised the Superstar Rajinikanth for acquiring the Padma Vibhushan Award , the second highest Civilian Honor conferred by the Indian Government.

In the statement issued in honour of Rajinikanth, the Nadigar Sangam has said "After years of immense hardwork, Rajinikanth has attain the position where everything he does becomes a news. Successes given by people and awards have been the recognition for Rajinikanth's efforts. An artist reaches the peak when he gets the recognition of the society. In that way the Nadigar Sangam is proud of Rajinikanth getting the higher civilian honour Padma Vibhushan from the Indian Government."
