It has been a practice to conduct elections once in three years in the South Indian actors association Nadigar Sangam, and in the last election conducted in 2015, the team lead by actor Nasser won, and the term of this team had ended by October 2018.

Following this, a meeting was held yesterday in T Nagar office regarding the next elections for Nadigar Sangam, and many actors including the Nadigar Sangam president Nasser, actor Ponvannan and many others were present. Post the meeting, Nasser announced that the elections will be conducted soon and the works for the same will begin today.

Nasser added that the team had did whatever they had promised to do, and the Nadigar Sangam building construction is also getting completed in another year. A retired judge will preside over the elections, and he will announce the date of the election. When questioned on whether current general secretary Vishal will contest the election, Nasser said that it can't be answered now. It must be noted that Vishal and Karthi were not part of the meeting.
