The Nadigar Sangam election is set to happen on June 23rd, though the High Court has ordered a change of venue as the proposed MGR Janaki college in Adyar Chennai is close to the residences of the chief minister and other dignitaries which could cause inconvenience to the public. Karthi the incumbent treasurer of the union was in Salem to meet with the members in that city made a fiery speech in support of his Pandavar Ani.
Speaking to the newspersons in Salem, Karthi stated that he was not in Salem to hunt for votes as his team's hard work for the past three and a half years is enough to get them the winning votes. He shared that more than forty per cent of the union members were above sixty years of age and have been neglected by their children and his team has ensured that a pension reached them every month for which they all have thanked the team profoundly.
Karthi expressed his disbelief that the Sankaradas Swamigal Ani broke out his from his own group and even Isari Ganesh was always in touch with him and had told him that he did not have any intention of contesting the elections. The 'Kadaikutty Singam' star his capacity as the treasurer denied reports that Isari Ganesh donated rupees six crores to the Nadigar Sangam while in fact, he had given one crore as a donation and another two crore rupees as loan carrying one per cent interest.
Karthi amidst thunderous applause stated that his sole intention is to to do good for the members and asked them to prove through this election that they support youngsters who have given their best and not bow down to manpower and money power of the opposition.
